About Red BackpackHello. My name is Bill Todd and before I established my spiritual direction private practice I was a pastor for most of my adult life.

Email me to set up a schedule for personal/group spiritual direction or to speak at your next event.

Once upon a time, I was a conscientious, career driven, successful minister.

Working on the staff of two mega-churches, I built a career that brought me to the point where speaking on stage and in front of a camera to more than 2000 people a week was normal. Creating new ministries and teaching hundreds of people in classes and ministries during the regular week, and countless one-on-ones over coffee.was a piece of cake. I ran into a couple of problems, though. I couldn’t escape the Voice inside of me that kept insisting that I was created to work in small, focused, and personal ways that freed people up to be who they had been designed to be.

The longer that I stayed in ministry, the more obvious one thing became. If my soul was going to survive, I would have to push past fear of taking a different route the one I had grown to know. I decided to face the fear and pursue the dream that I’ve carried inside of me for years. To tell the story that I was designed to tell.

I am still a conscientious, successful minister. However, my work looks very different today. I serve as a spiritual director for individuals and groups from all walks of life. I speak in corporate, community and church settings.   I lead retreats and teach online classes.

There are a lot of us in this same boat, aware that there is an UN-lived life inside of us, but paralyzed by the prospect of doing something about it. We know that it’s time to push past fear. I’ve been there, and I know how to point you toward the change you want.
